A nice museum
The Geevor tin mine is located near the town of Penzance, Cornwall, in the south of the UK. The mine was opened in 1911 on the site of a previous operation and was at its busiest before the First World War, as the price of tin rose. It was hard hit by the economic crisis of the 1980s, and the mine finally closed in 1990, when it was converted into a museum that tells the story of the rise and fall of this British industry.
