Theatre of Oulu
The Theatre of the city of Oulu in Vänmanninsaari island in the Firth of Oulu is near the commercial center of the city and next to the market. There is also a bridge connecting an island that is Pikisaari, the artistic community. It is the largest theater building in the area, and the interesting thing is that part of the theater is in the water. It was designed by architects Marjatta and Martti Jaatinen and was completed in 1972. Then it was renovated between 2002 and 2004, and during that time, a third space was added. Its total area is now 13900 m2. The building has three new auditoriums that are various sizes: 440 m2, 225 m2, and 165 m2.
