Theatre at Delphi
One of the most striking places not only because of its good state of preservation, but because it's in a truly privileged place. It seems that the sky was the stage at the time the that theater work. Set above the Temple of Apollo, built in the fourth century BC, later restored by the Romans. From 586 BC it began to take place every 4 years coinciding with the Olympics, few were called Pythian games and the theater was the place where they were held. At first it consisted of a musical contest where participants sang a hymn in honor of Apollo accompanied by a lyre. Later the Pythian games became larger and had contests for each musical instrument.
The sound here is fantastic because of its location and the Greeks certainly had this aspect in mind before building the theater. If we walk through the stands, the stage is clearly visible from all seats. I think some builders today should learn from the Greeks.
