Worth a visit
It is located on the Royal Mile, and is one of the few pubs in the middle of the tourist "promenade" to be frequented by locals. I don't know why, since the selection of thorns is decent, but not the best in town. The environment is homely and friendly, but not as smokey pubs might suggest. Aside from that, once you are inside you will realize how it ranks in order in the meantime. People are standing but not frantic and there are no drunks in sight. The average age is about 35-40. All these features make the World's End the perfect place to sit with friends and spend a nice, quiet evening.
You can also eat traditional Scotties "delicacies", among other things.
