The Tortuguero Hill

Besides visiting the waterways and beaches, you can climb the hill Tortuguero, about 6 km north of the town and within the Refuge Barra del Colorado. You should get there in a boat and with a guide. The people of the street can tell you something of the Tortuguero. Once yor boat arrives, you must climb the mountain through the jungle for 45 min. I do not know which is better, the road or the fabulous view from the hill. The guide will explain many things in the forest. You will see poisonous frogs, monkeys and other animals. I don't think this tour is offered by hotels. I took a picture of me and my guide.
