Famous old pub
You reach this historic pub after a long walk from Hampstead tube station (on the nothern line or black line). The road is mostly uncovered, so I recommend that you take the bus if the weather isn't good. But on a clear day you can enjoy the breathtaking views across the park of Hampstead Heath. After the walk you reach this pub, with a white facade dating back to the sixteenth century. The establishment is named after its owners at the time, two brothers of Spanish origin who are said to have killed each other in a duel of honor over a woman. One of the most famous visitors to have frequented the pub was the eighteenth century highwayman Dick Turpin, and it is said that his ghost still appears to some visitors, who also hear his horse galloping in the distance.
