The Shore Inn

The village of Portsoy is fantastic, with the Shore Inn showing the hospitality of the Scottish people. The beer is very good, but here it is compulsory to taste the best single malt whisky that comes from one of the many distilleries in the area. There are distilleries closer to home, in Glenn Valley, but also from the most remote of the Orkney Islands. Nearby is the marina, which is truly lovely. The winter waves spill out onto the pier, driving you to seek shelter in the pub and warm yourself up with a glass. Slainte!
