The Santa Vera Cruz Church

The Church-Chapel of Santa Vera Cruz in Alhaurin El Grande, Malaga, is a recently built (1921) neo-Gothic building on a site that had a sixteenth century Church (it was destroyed). The ruins of the old building are preserved and the new church was built according to a design by architects D. Calves and Fertrell Jose, of particular note are the facade with twin towers and a central rosette. The Church is the headquarters of the Royal Venerable Brotherhood of Santo Cristo de la Vera Cruz and the Virgin of Solitude and the Holy Sepulchre, popularly known as 'los Verdes'.
