The Rows

OLn Eastgate, Bridge and Watergate Streets in the central area of Chester, you'll find these medieval galleries, the oldest of which dates back to before the thirteenth century. You may not spot them at first, but look between the facades and along the streets...up a staircase, you'll find shops and pubs, a great place to shelter from the cold and rain. Typical medieval half-timbered houses have their shops at ground level, but this quirky passage offers something a little bit different!
