The River House

The River House is at the entrance to The Castle business park just outside of Stirling as you head toward Trossachs National Park and Loch Lomond. The restaurant is located next to a lake and kind of looks like a log cabin from the outside (though the interior is actually much more refined). As you can imagine from The River Houses' location, much of the customers are businessmen having meetings over lunch.

One of this nice things is that you can sit out on the terrace overlooking the pond on sunny days. The beer and wine list is good, and the menu and atmosphere are casual at lunchtime and a bit more formal at dinner.
