1 review of The riding gate

A famous gate

Located close to the bus station, Riding Gate is one of the ancient gates of the city, carved into the walls that still encircle the medieval city of Canterbury. It is now one of the most famous, made notable by its age (it dates all the way back to the third century AD), and its unusual features. Indeed, it is the only city gate with two lanes. Today, there is not much except a bridge over the top of the gate, which connects the East Way Station to the bus station.
