Represa de Los Reyunos

This dam has been formed by the water from the Río Diamante kilometer path and has created a huge lake in which more than 700 plants have been planted in order to encourage kingfish and salmon fishing. Famous fishing contests take place here and many sports are practiced. In Diamond Canyon Lake and along the blue-green waters, I stumbled upon a Fishing and Boating Club, there is a campsite with all the necessary facilities, cabins for rent, a hotel and a restaurant to stay and enjoy a wonderful and relaxing holiday. Many visitors come here, not only from nearby areas but also from further afield.

During the summer holidays of 2010, I stumbled upon this fantastic place that I want to go back to as soon as possible. This lake is situated in the foothills and was created artificially by a reservoir of a hydroelectric dam and is located at 1700 meters above sea level.
