The port

The Saint Cyprien port was built in 1969 and is an integral part of the landscape and history of the city. Now it's the nerve center of Saint Cyprien. This marina is the 3rd largest in Europe, but it is also an operating fishing port. There are a total of 2500 boats moored in Saint Cyprien, a few are fishing boats, but much less than before, according to local fishermen. But you can also watch the spectacle of the return of the fishermen, where everyone knows each other and they talk about fish. In the booths you can see, whiting, mullet, golden, mackerel, ... Fishermen normally go around 100,000 miles away to catch their fish, which are immediately sold to wholesalers in the city and surrounding area, or, put another way, the fishmongers! Fresh fish is sold here every day.

Sometimes they also harbor some drifters, with catches much more important.

Built in 1969, the port of Saint-Cyprien is an integral part of the landscape and history of the city and today remains the nerve center of Saint-Cyprien. This marina is the third largest in Europe, but it is also a still active fishing port. 2500 boats are moored at the port of Saint-Cyprien, little used for fishing, much less than before by local fishermen. But you can still see the show returns from fishing, where everyone knows each other and talking fish catch. In nets: From whiting, red mullet, sea bream, mackerel ... Fishermen typically travel 100,000 miles to catch fish. Catches which are then sold to wholesalers in the city and surrounding areas, ie fishmongers! But selling fresh fish also takes place every day of the year on the port. Some trawlers also sometimes arrive at the port, with obviously much more important shots.
