The Parliament
In St. Markus Square is where one can find the emblematic church, and where we can also find the parliament. Constructed in 1910, wherestood buildings from the 17th and 18th centuries. Croatia's independence from the Austro-Hungarian Empire was proclaimed from the balcony in 1918 and today remains the country's political epicenter.
