Great Filipino fusion food in Echo Park
I love this Filipino fusion restaurant in Echo Park. It’s got quite a simple atmosphere that feels similar to what it's like eating at lola’s (grandma’s) house. So, you end up really focused on the food (which is served family style, just like it is in Filipino households). A highlight for me is the tri-tip, which was soft and had a nice smoked taste that was just right. There are also sauces there that add a good taste to the meat. The coconut beef is great as well, and the cornbread bibingka was an interesting mix. I was particularly pleased with it because it didn't crumble as much as other cornbread I've eaten.
