Great Mosque of Xi'an

This mosque, which is one of the largest in China, has the peculiarity of being oriented to the West, because Mecca is in that direction, instead of south like other mosques. It is interesting to see the mix of Chinese and Islamic architecture. The gardens and pagodas show Chinese influence while the prayer center at the end of the mosque is clearly Islamic in style.
