Beautiful shrubbery
If something catches the attention when in the gardens of the Museum of Fine Arts in Tours, it is the giant cedar at the entrance. Through the door, you hear nothing but exclamations. The trunk, at 1 meter in height, reaches a circumference of 7.50 meters. 31 meters high. Planted in 1804, it has not only managed to survive all these years, but its branches have grown to an area of about 800m2, one of the largest in Europe. The enormous branches rub the floor and have to be held by wooden pegs. The association ARBRE granted in 2001 the title "Tree highlight of France." Next to it is a park full of flowers, trees and benches in the shade.
