The Lanes

Brighton, a coastal town located an hour by train from London, is now, and has been for more than a century, a city entirely oriented toward entertainment. People come to spend the day on the weekend, for shopping, eating seafood, and going out on the Brighton Pier, the pier becomes a park. The Lanes is the central part of the city, a mostly pedestrian area where you find a lot of shops, where the average price is from medium upwards. The area consists of Regent Lane, Arcade, Nile Street, House Lane, meeting steine ​​lane, and little east street. Art galleries, design shops, fashion boutiques and luxury dining usually have branches in Brighton.

The Lanes are a nice place to potter about but these are targeted more at the rich and tourists than are the North Lane(s), the shops are mainly high-end designer but you occasionally find some nice independent places, such as Rounders Records.
