Las sandalias de Ulises
The Landowners Club
Walking down Krakowskie PrzedmieScie street, there's a building that catches your attention for its Renaissance style, a balcony with columns provides a roof over its entrance, it's the building of the landlords (better know by its original name in Polish Gmach Resursy Obywatelskiej). Built 1860-1861 it was the meeting place for landlords of Warsaw, for their dinners and dances, they were the VIPs of the time! Like almost everything in Warsaw, it was in ruins after the Nazis destroyed the city (1944) but was rebuilt in 1950. Now, in summer, the ground floor is a cafeteria.
