The biggest still distillery in the world
One of the last visits I made in Ireland was to the ancient distillery of Jameson Irish whiskey. It is in Midlenton, 20 minutes by train from Cork. Once at the station, it is easy to get there. Just follow the main road until you find a sign that says go left to get to the place. First, there is a guided tour around the distillery in which we were explained the process of creating the whiskey. At the end of the course we got a drink, if you're one of the volunteers, and we could have a tasting of 3 types and whiskey. The tour starts with a video explaining the origin of the brand Jameson. During the half hour drive, you can see the items used during the process of creating the drink, and pictures and explanations that show the evolution of the company.
