The island is totally deserted

Last Wednesday we climbed to the top of RINGATOTO volcano, that's across the bay from Auckland and erupted 800 years ago. It is part of the Gulf of Hawaiuku, now a nature reserve and 20 minutes by ferry from the city port. There is a walk along the volcanic ground to the top, approximately two hours through lava caves along the walk enjoy the unique concert by the TUI bird, well known for issuing many different types of sounds and songs. The island is totally deserted so if you decide to visit do not forget your picnic lunch to enjoy in the heart of an uninhabited island. The views from the top

Are breathtaking and if a few drops fall you will have the opportunity to see a great Rainbow, here, as soon as it finishes raining you have blinding sun!Here's some photos ...
