After several years of planning and reforms, the Helix mega park finally began to see the light and while it's still undergoing some work, it is finally visitable. It's quite possibly the largest park in Scotland. The idea was to make a place where you can do everything all at once: have a picnic, go leisure walking, cycling, rowing, etc in an innovative and artistic space. The symbol of the park is two Kelpies (mythological horses coming out of the water) that in this case are two giant sculptures made of silver metal (and visible from great distances). This place continues to grow. Just from the parking lot to the horses is about a 4 mile stretch.
