Quartier du Gabut

The Gabut was restored in the 1990s and is a former fishing village next to the Vieux Port of La Rochelle. The this area is very original because the houses are made of wood and different colors. I think it's a very special place. There are several restaurants, bars, cafes, tea shops, the tourist office, etc.. This is a great area to go for a stroll. I love walking through the narrow streets of Gabut.
