Also known as 'The four seasons'
In Spain, it is largely known that the fountains Cybele and Neptune are the traditional places to celebrate the Real Madrid and Atlético de Madrid football team's achievements. However, how many know the third mythical fountain that lies right between the two others? Check out the Fountain of Apollo.
This one, like Cybele and Neptune, was designed by Ventura Rodríguez. Did you know it is also called 'The Fountain of the Four Seasons'? It has four figures that represent every season.
It is really easy to find it: located in the Paseo del Prado, right in front of the Thyssen Museum and near the Fountain of Neptune. Actually, if you walk from Atocha to Cibeles, you will find the three fountains: first, Neptune (God of the Sea), then, Apollo (God of the Sun) and, finally, Cybele (Goddess of the Earth).
