The Forest

The forest of Saint-Jean-de-Monts is situated next to Parée Jesus. You can explore it either on foot, by bike or on horseback. There is a bike rental place located just next to Parée Jesus. They offer several tours. The first is called "jogging loop," a loop of 5 miles for those who like to run. The second circuit is the "lookout", which lasts for 30 minutes and leads to a view point with a wonderful view. In addition to this place, you can see the bay, the golf course and the city on one side, and the marshes of the other. The viewpoint has a top bank which you have to climb if you want to sit, like when we were kids and sat with the world at our feet.
