The Footprint of Muhammad

The Holy Custody rooms are the most curious and holy in the Topkapi Palace. Only a select few could enter and here lie sacred Muslim relics, the carved doors of the Kaaba of Mecca, a hair from the beard of Muhammad, the baton of David and the famous Happy mantle . Photos are difficult in this holy place since many of the visitors are pilgrims who come from all over the world to pray to these relics. I could only take a photo of the mark on clay made by the Prophet Mohammed that touched me deeply. Whether true or not, this place is steeped in genuine religious faith and desire to "touch the hand of God", if only through a footprint in the mud, a stick of wood or a hair from a beard ...
