The Duke's

The noodle soups and fried rice are very good,, but sometimes the body and especially the mind need a good steak. The Duke's s a chain of "western" restaurants in northern Thailand. In Chiang Mai, there are two, one in the night bazaar and another (where I went) on the banks of the Mae Ping River. Truth is, when your a month into a six month stay, you get a bit tired of Asian food, and it becomes difficult to resist the temptation of a good pizza, BBQ ribs, or a ribeye steak. And the burgers! It has very good service and quality food and the cooks know western food better than other places. It get a little overpriced compared to the local restaurants, but if you fancy western food, it's is worth paying for it.
