The Coria Museum

The Coria Museum is located in the premises of the Convent of San Francisco. The building was built in the fifteenth century and was abandoned during the War of Independence, suffering decay and ruin until in 1969 it was bought by Xavier Salas, who restored it and, through his Foundation, created the current museum. The museum is located on the ground floor of the cloister of the convent, and is dedicated to the history of Latin America, and especially the relationship between Extremadura and America (resulting from the merger of the existing indigenous people before the arrival of Columbus . Admission is free.
