The Cedar Forest
When you visit the imperial cities of Fes and Meknes, with sun and a temperature of 15 degrees, you do not have the slightest idea that there is snow on the mountains only two hours by bus away. Morocco in general is not associated with not snow but the Atlas mountains, with its highest point at mount Djebel Toubkal, reaches more than four thousand feet. Part of Azrou is called the Middle Atlas, and its highest point is about three thousand feet. If you decide to visit Marrakech via the imperial way, you will pass through here, with snow guaranteed from December to February. It is even more surprising when you reach Marrakech with temperatures over 20 degrees and with palm trees and camels.
