A Geological Curiosity
El Bufador is a geological curiosity that consists in a natural tunnel excavated on the rock, where the city sits, and through which the water of the Mediterranean continually goes in and out, causing thunderous “snorts” (bufido in Spanish) and violent raisings of the sea water, in stormy days. It is such a pleasure to sit next to it and listen to the sea when it enters and snorts before going back in.
