The Shrine of Ali (Blue Mosque)

Esta preciosidad de monumento Oriental es la Mezquita azul de Mazar i Sharif que significa Noble Sepulcro y se encuentra en la provincia de Balh. Para culturilla general deciros que Mazār es la capital de la provincia de Balh, y es a su vez la 3ª ciudad más grande de Afganistán. Sorprendentemente según me contaron sigue en pie a pesar de los más de 19 años de guerra, haciendo de ella una de los más bellos monumentos y considerada como joya patrimonial del Afganistán. Dos son las cosas que me llamaron la atención y que me resultan muy bellas, la primera es la referencia a la que se hacen con Noble sepulcro, llamada así por el gran santuario (lo podéis contemplar en las fotos) de techo azul. Fijaos que azul … La otra es la lengua oficial, el Dari. Darí es el nombre que los Afganos dan a la lengua persa que ha ido evolucionando independientemente del persa. El Dari y el pashto son las 2 lenguas oficiales de Afganistán. Lo hablan el 60% de la población. En esta ciudad de notable atracción turística destacan sus lugares de interés arqueológico Helenístico y Musulmán. Podemos contemplar una gran explanada donde la población afgana celebra el año nuevo (nuestra noche vieja). Y lo hacen con un acto llamado Jenda bala y cuya traducción exacta es Izar Banderas. Muchos son los historiadores e incluso gente autóctona que creen que allí reside la tumba de Ali Ibn Abi Talib, el hijo por ley y primo del profeta Mahoma. De hecho es conocida por la Mezquita Azul o tumba de Ali. Me llamó la atención que Mazar-e-Sharif se ha convertido en una ciudad para gente con pasta, llegando incluso a crearse la gente su propia plaza, con su nombre por supuesto. Pero volviendo a la Mezquita, solo teneis que perderos dentro de ella, contemplar la gama de colores, los miles de azulejos que la engalanan y esperar a que se ponga el sol en su fachada. Todo un espectáculo!. Mazār-e Šarīf está liderado en la actualidad por el presidente Hamid Karzai, que lo es de Afganistán. Aquí es donde nos encontramos mis compañeros, yo y las fuerzas de la OTAN, luchando por la paz e intentando un mundo mejor y de convivencia.
