One of the things I highly recommend to anyone visiting Tunisia is to attend one of the belly dancing shows offered at many restaurants, hotels and cafes. In my case, we enjoyed such a show in our own Boujafaar Abou Nawas hotel in Sousse, because every night there was some comedy. In Tunisia, you can discover the birthplace of this art that is also danced in many of the Middle East Arab countries as diverse as Egypt, Turkey, Iran, the Arabian Gulf, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Yemen, Nubia and Sudan, giving rise to the differences between the rhythms and the different styles of oriental dance.
