Sleep on the beach
The beaches of Cabo de la Vela are well preserved. Some hundred years ago, the Spanish used them as a dock for their galleons, which had to wait a long time to go to Spain full of gold and silver. The Dutch and French did the same and were engaged in arms and pearl smuggling. Pearls are produced here and the great swimmers, that belonged to the indigenous Wayuu, dove and got them from the seabed. Today it has great ecological value, because it has not yet been covered in concrete like the world's other beaches lined with buildings and air conditioning.
