Incredible views of the beautiful island
La Palma’s not called the beautiful island for nothing
It has been a long time since I’ve seen such spectacular views of nature as those found in La Palma. You’ll soon realize this as you’re discovering the island for yourself.
Here, I present the Las Angustias ravine to you. It’s a protected environment that marks the limits between the towns of Tazacorte (Los Hoyas viewpoint), Tijarafe (El Time viewpoint), and Los Llanos de Aridane.
The ravine begins in the Dos Aguas area and ends in Tijarafe port. Additionally, you’re going to discover all the rich vegetation that inhabit the area: cedar and pine trees, as well as birds of prey soaring up above in the island sky.
You’ll be able to differentiate between various areas to head while in the ravine. For example, in its highest park, bordering the Caldera de Taburiente National Park. The environment is so beautiful that it was declared a National Park in 1987, and later a protected area in 1994.
I 100% recommend that you go hiking along one of the many trails if you visit this area. It’s incredible. I’ll discover narrow paths, houses hanging over cliffs, and much more. Make sure you’re with someone else as it’s not the easiest trail in the world and some parts are relatively dangerous.
Pure adventure!
