The Angel Inn in Corbridge is a local classic. Not only as accommodation, but as a restaurant and pub as well. This local landmark offers several real open fires with firewood which is so pleasing especially when the weather is extremely cold and there's nothing like the real fire for warmth. Its outward appearance does not correspond much with the interior, as the rooms are of a very high standard, which makes being in a typical village in such an area (quite posh, of course) not cheap, it usually costs between £90 and £150. It has modern decor and clean and spacious rooms which are perfect. The restaurant is not far behind, offering quite elaborate meals, which makes it advisable to book beforehand, especially in high season such as summer or Christmas.
