Thanh Binh III - Serene Hotel

One of the best things about Hội An is its wide variety of quality hotels. It’s very possible to get a room at a hotel with a pool, breakfast buffet, and comfy rooms with large bathrooms and balconies for prices that are unimaginable in other parts of the world (perhaps only Bali rivals Hội An in terms of price).

This was our case at the Than Binh III Hotel. The breakfast was amazing and we had eggs, fruit, cereal, croissants, juice and tea. The pool was very nice and being able to have a mid-day swim in the heat of Hội An was a real luxury.

I went to Vietnam last November and we found this hotel in our guide. We originally planned to stay for one night and we got a room and breakfast for $20. However, our experience in Hội An was so nice that we decided to stay another night. We asked them for a different room since ours was on the 3rd floor and didn’t have wi-fi reception and we kept on having to go out into the stairwell to get a signal. The second night, we stayed on a ground floor room with a private garden for around $25.

This hotel is lovely. The rooms are very spacious, clean and air-conditioned. The pool is not very big but still very nice after a hard day of shopping and exploring. The breakfast buffet is included in the already ridiculously low price which you can haggle down even further. We stayed in a triple room for $15 a night.
