A nice park
The Thames Barrier is the second largest flood barrier in the world, built in the '80s. In 2000 this park was created to regenerate the area and attract more visitors. The park consists of 14 acres of extensive lawns, a forest, family areas, children's playground, snack bar, sports court, fountains and a very interesting garden with shrubs shaped like waves and flowers. There are shady trees, providing the perfect cover for picnics. At the end of the park are the Thames and its barrier - a very interesting view.
