Since 1954, the Texas Historical Foundation has published the stories of the city and the people who have helped to fund the projects and to preserve the buildings and culture of Texas. The Texas Historical Foundation is one of the groups that receives no state or federal funds. Today it opens its doors to the public to educate all curious visitors about the culture and history of the state of Texas.
