Terre-Neuve Castle
The castle of Terre-Neuve is a jewel of the French Renaissance. Its large gardens bring to mind a pompous era of outdoor banquets, umbrellas and gloves with armed embroidery and lace dresses. I couldn't help but imagine Marie Antoinette strolling through the garden!! Surrounded by the court, the extravagant lady was given by the most exquisite whims Pays de la Loire. A sample of 'savoir faire French condenses in the minimalist decor and architecture of this impressive mansion of the late XVI. History was rewritten in the rooms, as seen by the numerous engravings, antiques and art collections by its owner, the Marquis Octavio Rochebrune, kept jealously among his best memories.
