Yola
Temple of the Oracle
This is dedicated to the god Amun. Alexander the Great consulted the oracle in 331 BC because he wanted to know if he was the son of Zeus (Ammon), the god of gods. In the response, he got the information he wanted. Before he died, he said that he wanted to be buried near his father (Siwa). He died in Babylon, his body was moved in procession to Egypt and Ptolemy ordered that he be buried in Alexandria, the city he founded. But the mystery remains, because his grave was never found in Alexandria. Entry is 20 LE (in 2005), half if you are a student, though I didn't need to produce any evidence (10 LE = 1,50 €).
