Teatro Municipal Barbastra

Bergidum Theatre is very close to the main square, in the "upper" part of Ponferrada. The building dates from 1946, but in 1996 it was acquired by the local council to convert into a municipal theater. It is part of the Spanish Network of Theatres and Auditoriums in public ownership. It has a capacity of 646 spectators, and in it are all kinds of shows: theater, opera, conferences, concerts, music and dance performances .. These events take place from September to June, and mainly at the weekend. Prices vary depending on the show. There are seasonal or monthly subscriptions. Besides the stage, there's a large movie screen behind the curtain.
