Neapolitan pizzas in NYC
Tavola is an Italian restaurant we came across near our rental apartment on 9th Avenue. As they had no tables, we sat at the bar and chatted with the bartender, an Italian who assured us the food there was very good, especially the wood oven pizzas. When we got the table, ordered a Burrata to share. Next came the pizzas (one Greca and Parma) which were really good and crispy. They are not cheap, though, around $14-18.00 each. The service was impeccable. We were only two people and had to wait for a table, so if you're in a larger party you should probably call ahead to book a table.
