Tarazona Cathedral

A mi regreso de Soria no podía dejar pasar la oportunidad de desviarme un poco en la carretera y visitar uno de los edificios más bellos e impresionantes de nuestro país. Soy una enamorada de la ciudad de Tarazona, no recuerdo las veces que he visitado y disfrutado de esta villa, pero hasta ahora, nunca había podido contemplar el interior de su Catedral. Hace poco, los trabajos de restauración de la que considero una de las catedrales de estilo mudéjar más espectaculares de nuestro país, han finalizado y ya podemos disfrutar de una visita que te deja sin palabras. Los trabajos de restauración han sido minuciosos, increíbles, y los frescos, murales y pinturas se nos presentan sin complejos por cualquiera de las diferentes estancias del edificio. Considerada la capilla sixtina del renacimiento español, una de los mejores ejemplos de mudéjar, con su barroco añadido... En definitiva todo un espectáculo y mezcla de diferentes estilos sabiamente mezclados para que hoy en día entremos a este lugar y nos quedemos sin palabras. A pesar que ahora las colas y la cantidad de visitantes son a veces "pesadas", no he podido evitar desviar mi camino y disfrutar de este bellísimo y magnífico edificio. No me esperaba que fuera tan bella. Es lo que tiene algo que desear ver durante mucho tiempo, que te puede decepcionar o todo lo contrario, aún te impresiona más de lo que imaginabas. Imprescindible su visita, pero sobre todo, al todo conjunto histórico-artístico de Tarazona, para mi, una de las villas más bellas de España.

Recently, the restoration work which I consider one of the Mudejar style cathedrals most spectacular of our country, have been completed and we can enjoy a tour that leaves you speechless. The restoration work has been thorough, incredible, and frescoes, murals and paintings are presented to us without complex by any of the different rooms of the building. Considered the Sistine Chapel Spanish Renaissance, one of the best examples of Moorish, with its baroque added ... Definitely a show and mixing different styles wisely blended to enter today to this place and we run out of words. Although now the queues and the number of visitors are sometimes "heavy", I could not help turn my way and enjoy this beautiful and magnificent building. I did not expect it to be so beautiful. Is it about something you want to see for a long time, you may disappoint or the opposite, still impresses you more than you imagined. A must visit, but above all, the whole historical-artistic Tarazona, for me, one of the most beautiful villas in Spain.

Nuestra Señora de la Huerta, bién podría ser la maqueta de bienvenida en Legoland. Está construída de la misma manera: con ladrillos. Un vistazo al conjunto desde el exterior y ya se aprecia la grandeza del mudéjar. Ladrillos colocados uno a uno en una armonía tan perfecta, que da igual el desafio vertical de su campanario, que la coqueta delicadeza de las cuatro alturas de su cimborrio y frente a la desnudez ocre de aquel, el manto blanco inmaculado, salpicado de pequeñas manchas azules de la desafiante y bellísima cúpula. Humilde de cuerpo, pero enorme de elegancia. A falta de vidrieras para la iluminación interior, sus constructores optaron por la utilización de finas láminas de alabastro, pintadas con motivos religiosos. ¿mermaría éso la cantidad de luz en el interior? Cuando entres, encontraras la respuesta. Destroza todos los tópicos de las enormes catedrales. No hay otra igual. La visita guiada merece la pena y cuando te explican que lo recaudado, irá destinado a la fundación que se dedica a la restauración, el placer es doble. Aunque la ciudad estaba en la parte alta, se construye aquí por dos razones: 1- En aquel tiempo, primaba que las catedrales fuesen colosales, porque representaban gran riqueza, y dentro de la ciudad no era posible lograr esto. 2- Anteriormente, en este punto existió una mezquita mozárabe, dedicada a Santa María de la Huerta ( por eso conserva el nombre) y era costumbre construir edificaciones religiosas dónde ya hubieses existido anteriormente este tipo de asentamientos.

Junto con la Catedral de Teruel es la única construida en estilo Mudejar, así que aunque sea para admirar su arquitectura merece una visita, donde destaca por encima de todas las cosas el exterior del Cimborrio. Las obras de arte de su interior tampoco tienen desperdicio como el púlpito o el órgano.

La Catedral de Tarazona, sorprende desde su misma entrada para el visitante, con un Claustro espectacular que alberga una exposición sobre su restauración. El interior del templo es de una gran belleza artística. La visita guiada me gustó muchísimo, nos supo mostrar toda la riqueza que contiene el interior del monumento de una manera entretenida y amena. ¡La recomiendo!

The interior of the temple is of great artistic beauty. The tour really liked it, we knew demonstrate the wealth contained inside the monument in an entertaining and enjoyable. I recommend it!
