Ta'qali

The Ta'Qali crafts center is located very close to the city of Mdina Maltese. You can find it via the clearly marked directions on the road between Rabat and Mdina Valletta. During World War II, the Allies built a military airfield at Ta'Qali and constructed numerous hangars to house all the equipment and personnel. Today, these hangars are being used to showcase various local crafts. There are three factories of glass: Glass Mdina, Valletta Glass and Phoenician Glass. The other glass factory is located on the island of Gozo.
