24 taps of craft beer goodness in Madrid
To all beer-lovers' delight, Madrid finally has its own tap room! Located in the heart of Madrid's historic Chamberi district, The Taproom is the newest face to pop up in Madrid's ever-evolving craft beer scene and boasts a whopping 24 taps serving up icy-cold pints of everything from Spanish IPA's to Belgian Saison ales and American stouts.
First, the bar itself: I didn't get the details but it seems to be the sister company to a build-your-own burrito place next door. On sunny days, the entire bar opens up to the street so you can sit down on one of the vintage leather sofas or recycled tables and enjoy a cool pint in the breeze as soul and reggae flow soothingly from the speakers. Unlike most craft beer bars in Madrid, the Taproom actually has an outdoor terrace for al-fresco drinking, not something to take lightly in the sweltering Madrid summers.
