Tankun Hostel

Situata a soli dieci chilometri dal famigerato triangolo d'oro, questa assonnata cittadina distesa sulle rive del Mekong, si affaccia su terra laotiana e si risveglia in inverno con l'avvento dei numerosi turisti di passaggio per visitare i dintorni e per oltrepassare poi il confine nella non distante Chiang Khong. Fra le svariate accomodation, conta anche un ostello dal bizzarro nome di Tankun. Il ragazzo alla reception parla un buon inglese fluente, è disponibilissimo e farà di tutto per soddisfare ogni vostra richiesta e curiosità! Le camere sono da quattro letti e ogni letto costa 99 baht, il bagno è comune . Al piano terra gli avventori possono tostarsi una fetta di pane (hanno anche il pane al gusto fragola...Stranissimo!!!), una banana o una tazza di caffè. Internet e wireless sono gratuiti e, se ne necessitate, vi verrà fornita anche una cartina della cittadina. Per trovarlo, basterà seguire il viale lungo il Mekong e le insegne vi guideranno all'ostello, sito in una via perpendicolare.

Located just ten miles from the infamous Golden Triangle, this sleepy town lying on the banks of the Mekong, overlooking the ground Laotian and wakes up in the winter with the advent of the many passing tourists to visit the surroundings and then to cross the border not far in Chiang Khong.
