Swallow's Nest Castle

It's a castle near Yalta. It was built between 1911 and 1912 and is 40 meters high on the Aurora Cliff. Your view of the Castle from the sea is beautiful and the expectations rise as you approach. It sits on the cape of Ai-todor. It was built in neo-Gothic style by the Russian architect Leonid Sherwood. In 1927, the Swallow's Nest endured an earthquake of more than 6 on the Richter scale. The building was not damaged, except for some small decorative elements that were fell into the sea along with a small part of the cliff. However, the cliff itself did developed a huge crack. For a long time, the Swallow's Nest was closed to the public due to damage sustained in the earthquake.
