Suspension Bridge of Selfoss
Selfoss is a town situated in the southern area of Iceland, on the banks of the River Ölfusá. In 1891 they built it, it was the first suspension bridge over the River Ölfusá. The bridge made the city a logistical center for the region. During World War II British troops settled in Selfoss to protect the strategic bridge. The current bridge was built in 1945 after the original structure collapsed.
