Guest House in center of Mirissa beach
The Sunset Guest House is large in the center of the beach of Mirissa. As you can see, it is a lovely beach, with golden sand and coconut trees. It is halfway between Galle and Matara and buses run every 5 minutes. The hotel was badly damaged by the tsunami in 2004 but has become to be renovated and renewed. It has several cottages and standard rooms, some with air-condition, some with fans. All have mosquito net. The best season is from November to April, the peak surfing season. $ 25 per night more or less in low season you can negotiate.
