Happy trip enjoying the beauty of nature
Gatlingburg, TN is a lovely vill age with a river and the lovely "Rocky Mountain" where you can enjoy the beauty of nature, breathe the fresh mountain air and simple folk culture, cheerful and hardworking.There are many historical places nearby, good restaurants, ski area etc.. We stayed in a tiny hotel "Comfort Inn on the River" with a view and holiday homes and cottages. It's lovely in the fall, spring and summer but also in winter when it is cold. We saw black bears as we went by car to the mountain that is also accessible by cable car. From the top you get a lovely view. 2 hours by car and you can see the waterfall in a cave in the rocks called "Ruby Falls" go on a walking tour half a mile below the earth and when you get to the waterfall it is incredible because it falls within the cave and has added colored lights.
